BuNcO

Last night was BuNcO and ALL I can say is I have 11 friends who are a BUNCH of B@@bs*. I left my camera sitting at a table and today I found 24 B@@BS* on it. Yes, 11 women took pictures of their B@@Bs* and their FEET with MY CAMERA!! I should post the damn things (all 24 of them) BUT I am really not trying to get a bunch of OLD men who want to see a BUNCH of 40 year old B@@BS* (or feet to my blog)!
TRUST me NEXT month I will keep my camera WITH ME!!
So instead I will just say last night was FUN again...

Saturday, Tyler's DI team goes to State so we are meeting at 7:30 and it will be a LONG day. His team is doing the obstacle coarse challenge. They have to tell a story with out words and have a moving vehicle that you have to somehow change and you can not touch. They did REALLY well on that part but they had trouble with the instant challenge. This is where they are given a challenge and have a certain amount of time to do that task. They have NO idea what it is till they walk in the room. (Think of that one Drew Carey's show).

Hankster left for China today for 2 1/2 weeks. It is hard when he is gone as it is ME doing everything and I can not go to the gym in the morning :(
Mom of the year actually ask today if I could bring my 10 year old in and let him sit at a table when I drop Nicholas off at swim at 5:00 in the morning. They said YES so I might do this a few mornings a week and see how it works out. I LOVE going then as it is not busy and it gets me modivated for the DAY.

I need to go through the kids clothes and see what they need for spring/summer and get stuff together for a garage sale and Ebay. I love love love EBAY!!!

Pool water was 83 today so mama will be floating soon:)
*It now 85 so WOOHOO!!!

First SWIM (Dive) of the YEAR!!

Tyler was the FIRST brave one to get into the POOL this year..Yes, I know we are early birds but we have a heat pump on the pool and the water is 74 so when you are 10 that is WARM enough..when you are ....cough cough..you sit in the lounge chair and take pictures:)

Front Porch

Today we painted the front porch, railing and garage door! Yesterday I painted the chairs and table and I have to say I am very HAPPY with how it turned out. The door is PURPLE (I know it does not look like it in the picture).

Almost in High School (3 Word Sunday)

Nicholas wants to go to the "other" High School. We only have 2, North and East (how orginal:)

We had to file a transfer and he got the letter yesterday so he will be a BULLDOG next year!! He is more then ready for high school and I have to say I am ready for him to go to!! (ask me in August and I might be saying different)!!

GoodBye Diehns

Our good friends the DIEHNS have been here for 3 weeks and are leaving tomorrow to go back to ENGLAND for 94 more SHORT days before they move back for good!!! Nicholas and Andrew have been BEST FRIENDS since PreK and have so missed each other. Our families are very good friends and we can not wait till they are back in the USA where they belong again! It has been a great 3 weeks and we already miss you but we do know there is a END IN SITE!!

Bathroom

We painted the downstairs bathroom this weekend and I LOVE It!!! I found the one picture and we went off of it. I painted the vanity and the cabinet above the toilet and I have to say I am quite IMPRESSED with myself:-)
We did get a new light, faucet and STUFF. The color of the walls is called Cayenne and it is ORANGE. The vanity color is Black Raisin.

BuNcO

Friday night was BuNcO and Joanne hosted it at her new house. We ALL had a GREAT time:) She made a GREAT Sangria Punch with fresh fruit and Mojotos. The joke of the night was about her "potty" as it did not have a flush handle it had 2 buttons. You pushed the smaller button for a little flush and the bigger button if you needed the granddaddy of ALL flushes..lol. So anytime anyone "went" we always ask if they left or right clicked..No, it does not take much to AMUSE us:) Barb was the big winner with 3 BUNCOS, Jill had most WINS (20 out of 24), Sue had LAST Bunco, Kathy had most LOSES and Joanne got the Thanks for SHOWING up!!! Denise and I showed up with ALMOST the same outfit on. No, it was NOT planned but pretty funny! Samantha has now SUBBED every month since last May. We considered her a regular now. Jills sister Christy and my friend SUZANNE who is moving back from England in 98 days (but whos counting) also subbed!! I have TRIED all *amn day to figure out how to do a video and I have NO idea so here are some pictures.

Bird

For 2 days now I have had "BLUNK BLUNK" on my dining room window EVERY 8 seconds to 1 minute (YES I HAVE COUNTED)! This BIRD
keeps flying into my window and it is on my last nerve!!!

3 word and HUNT

Here is my 3 word Sunday post and pictures of the kids having a Easter Egg Hunt. We had my dad and our friends for dinner and it was a nice day..would have been even nicer if there were no SNOW FLURRIES and it was warmer but it did not rain so I am not going to complain to much. The kids did not "act" like they want to hunt eggs but they did ALL run around the yard picking up eggs so they are never to old. My sister and neice are in Atlanta visiting her other daughter who lives there.

My mom always made the Bunny cake each year so we made it this year! Both boys decorated the cake and Tyler helped me with the cupcakes:)

Entry

We had our entry painted this week. The color is called CANOE and I love it:) We also had a new light put up. The old one was the BIG bird cage looking one from the early 90's which I have not liked since we moved in 10 years ago. I also bought some new stuff for the walls and I am happy with how it turned out!
A HUGE Thanks to DANIEL B for hanging my light!! I forgot to take a picture of him hanging it up and guess who called and complained!! YEP..DANIEL:)
Next project is the bathroom. I have striped the border and hopefully will get it painted this week or next weekend.
***As I went back and looked at the picture I realized I need to change the order that the panels are in as the end one is a different direction and needs to be the middle one..They have been hung up since Friday night and I NEVER noticed it till I looked at the picture. See BLOGS do come in handy:)

6 Months

Today is 6 months since my mom passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. In some ways it seems like she was just here and other times it seems a lot longer! This picture was taken last summer when we got her to the beach for the last time. It was a vacation we will ALWAYS treasure. I can tell you my mom is sitting on a beach in heaven with a beer in her hand and waiting to go out to dinner so she can get a Margarita (no salt:)

3 WORD SUNDAY

Nicholas had a GREAT meet and has the Medals to show for it BUT the best part of the weekend was he made his goal of swimming the 100 back in less then a minute!! He has tried ALL year and could not get passes 103.00 and today he swam a 100.44 and tonight he swam a 59:44!! He did not medal in this event as he was not in the Finals BUT I have to say it was the event that made me CRY!! He so wanted it and he DID IT!!!
I will be posting more pictures of the meet later this week..I need to learn to do a slide show:)

State TIMES Two

Nicholas and the club he swims for are doing VERY well this weekend at State:)
The relay he is on (13/14 boys) so far has swam 3 times and has a 2nd place in the 400 Medley, a 6th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 200 medley!! Tomorrow is the 400 Free relay:)
He has gotten 6th in his 200 back and 10th in his 200 free. Tomorrow he swims his 100 back, 100 free and 200 IM!! We are very proud of him:)
NOW on to TYLER:)
Today he has his DI (Destination Imagination) competition and they got 3rd so they are going to STATE!!! There are 7 4th graders in his group and they have been been together for 3 years and this is the first time they have made it to State!!! Here is a picture of Tyler and his BEST friend. I took Tyler and Hank went with Nicholas and then I left to go to the finals today and Samantha (Best friends mom:) kept him so he could go to the awards program!!! She then took them to McD's and to the bookstore and both got a new book!! Tyler and J are sooo much alike and both LOVE to read so we are very LUCKY!! I am so proud of Tyler and his DI group as they have worked HARD on this for MONTHS!!!

Science Fair

Tonight was Science Fair for the "team" Tyler is on.4th graders had to make a invention. Tyler and K did a PORTABLE PRIVACY room. They had a girl in their group who showed up tonight but DID NOTHING THE ENTIRE TIME!! They came up with this idea on there own and they were so excited about it! BUT when you get a dad involved in the building you get a BUILDING!! It was way to big but they had fun and we think they did a great job. The idea behind the PP was a portable changing area if you were at the beach/ballpark and you needed to change your clothes. Their point was it beats your MOM holding a towel up and you having to change your clothes behind it. I guess when you are 10 the towel changes are over.
Can I tell you how HAPPY I am that this is OVER. Saturday is his DI competion and Nicholas State meet so we are FREE for a few weeks! Tyler will start Soccer in the next week or so and Nicholas is off of swim for a few weeks so this is WONDERFUL for us:)

Can I tell you how I laughed at this..WHY, I do not know other then it is MARY ANN!! Not the Skipper, or Professor or even the MOVIE STAR but Mary Ann!!! AND she is 69!! I guess if I went on a 3 hour tour and the weather started getting rough and it turned into years with "The Capt. and his LITTLE BUDDY" I might too:) LOL
*I guess I should have said if you already did not know that she got caught with marijuana in her car!

Nicholas let me cut his tonight as STATE* is this weekend so it is his 1 of 2 haircuts a YEAR!!! He "thinks" it looks good longer BUT it was NOT GOOD.
I am so happy to get that Cr@p cut off. He FIRST had be cut it in a type of mohawk and then OFF. He is happy as he knows it will GROW and I am HAPPY as I got to cut those fried chlorined ends off:) Look how much DARKER it is now. It will lighten up again in a few months!
*Nicholas is swimming 200 and 100 back, 200 and 100 free and something else that I can not remember..(Bad mom). You can swim 5 events PLUS relays and he is on all 4 relays:)

More SNOW

I would guess we have at least 8 inches of snow which is not as much as Cinti. got. My sister said they have around 14..lol.
I can not wait till SPRING and I know it is near which makes it all the worse.
We did book our vacation for the summer as I need to know I am going to a BEACH to get me through this last month of whatever weather. We have never been to Gulf Shores so if anyone has any tips or fun of things they have done there please let me know:)

Snow...

Today we got SNOW and we are suppose to get more then we have gotten all year. The kids got out 2 hours early so Nicholas went sledding with friends and Tyler is out playing with the boy across the street. I had him take the dog out and she "ran" around the yard for a few minutes and now she is laying back in her crate (which she love:)
We have out pool opening Monday the 17th so ALL I can say is COME ON OUT SUN!!!

40 Minutes!!!

Today I stayed on the Elliptical for 40 minutes. I know a lot of others can stay on A LOT longer but considering I started out a little over a month ago at 1:30 this is HUGE for me:) I actually burned 400 calories too!!! That was my GOAL to get to and I am THRILLED!!! I have to say the whole time I am on it I can hear Jillian from The Biggest Loser yelling at me to MOVE IT.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show and so like her. I never thought I would want her to be my trainer as I like BOB but she is who I would need if I were on the show as she would make me CRY but WORK HARD!!!
