My mom made a Bunny Cake EVERY year for Easter. This is the 2nd Easter without my mom (and the first without my dad) but the Bunny Cake lives on in her Memory!! My sister is off to FL tonight so we are going to some friends house tomorrow for Easter! My sister even said "are you making a Bunny Cake". We do not remember all the "stuff" we were bought when we were kids..we remember the Cake my mom made every Easter....
I hope the Bunny Cake is something my kids carry on also!!

Hmmm. One more thing in common: I lost both of my parents too. Not in as quick succession as yours. Dad died when I was 8 from pancreatic cancer, Mom died in 2004 (just a week before Caroline was born in China) from lung cancer. Can you tell that I HATE smoking?
The bunny cake looks almost too good to eat - but don't let that stop you! ;) You did your mom proud, my friend!
I use to make that same cake all the time when my kids were little. I wonder if my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter would like it yet? Maybe I should wait one more year. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. It's a nice tribute to your mom to keep up the tradtion.
