Are we ready for some FOOTBALL!!!

Tyler is at football camp this week with a friend who will be going to the other Middle School this week. I know he is having a lot of fun as I have only heard from him twice. Last night he said "Do you know how popular you are when your last name is Wang"..Not really but I am glad it is working for him:) I have to say "I really miss that kid!!!"

Nicholas' Birthday Party

Nicholas had a combined Birthday party with his friend Vanessa (just a friend) at her grandparents house on a lagoon. (What the difference is between a lagoon and a lake I am not sure)..There were A LOT of kids there and they all seemed to have a great time:) Happy 17th Birthday to Nicholas and Vanessa!!

Tyler and Mrs Walker

Tonight was Tyler's 6th grade graduation and I cried. I so set myself up as I got out his Kindergarten Memory book before we went and looked at it THEN I wore my moms ring on my chain so she would be there with me as Tyler is the "baby" and my mom always had a soft spot in her heart for him:) AND the Hank puts on a orange shirt and said I am wearing this as so your dad is there too..My dad LOVED the color orange and 3/4 if not more of his shirts were ORANGE!!
Tyler was (key word is WAS) a shy child. All I ever wanted was a teacher to say he talks to much as he NEVER talked at school. Welllll, I got my wish plus more. He talks all the time at school and does not have a shy bone in his body. When his name was announced and he got a lot of applause from kids and parents he turned toward everyone and waved all the way up to get his certificate:)
He, like Nicholas both got the Presidential award for all A's and pass plus on ISteps since 4th grade.
I know I am so LUCKY to have two great kids and I am so proud of both of them. I know my parents were smiling down at Tyler tonight too!!

Happy Mother's Day Mom

There is not a day that does not go by that you and dad are not thought of. I hope your day in Heaven is as wonderful as you are. Tyler made me a lemon cake for Mothers day and I know part of the reason he picked lemon as it is your favorite. He used 2 cake mixes as 1 did not fill the pan, mixed it with a fork as he did not want to use the mixer and put the icing on right out of the oven so it pretty much melted all over the cake:) You would have LOVED it!!! I still can not believe it will be 3 years in Sept and 2 years in July for dad.
We love and miss you both so much!!!

I have a ton of things on my wish list (the painted turtle, bottle tree mermaid vase and 4 bud vases...my list goes on and on:) lol

Ultimate Blog Par-Tay

This is my FIRST time for anything like this so I guess that kinda makes me a Par-Tay Virgin:)
My name is Diana and I have been married for almost 23 years to Hank. He was laid off almost 15 months ago (a huge shock to him) and has been looking for a job. Over qualified gets really really old!! We have 2 GREAT boys. Nicholas is 16 and Tyler is 12. Both are adopted from Korea and I wish EVERYONE could experience adoption as it is the most wonderful thing ever. I love readying adoption blogs (ok..I am kinda addicted to them) for this reason as Adoption is what made us a family:) I could go on and on about it..Some day I will have to post pictures of the day we got both boys. I get teary everytime I talk about it as those are the 2 most wonderful days of our lives!!
I am a Kindergarten TA and I love it!!! They are adorable and FUNNY. I have always said you can wake up in a not so great mood but you go to school and 26 adorable little kids walk in and you are HAPPY. I had a little boy tell me today he was going to start calling me Princess..I said that is just what my family at home calls me too...lol!!! I love everyone of them and will so miss them in June!!
I wish I had a hobby..I have a CRAFTY FRIEND (Yes I am talking about you Denise) but I am just not a crafty person..No patience for it but I love to shop:) Soooooo, What would I love to win..ANYTHING!! I love Amazon and I know there are some GC that would make me smile:)
I am looking forward to comments as I am not "one of those High Traffic Blogs". It is just me and a few other people.

Spring Break

This week is our Spring Break..can I say "WAY TO EARLY". We have had to many snow days so a few weeks from now I will feel like I need a Break but not now..PLUS everyone here seems to go to Florida and it is just not HOT there yet.
Both boys did get to go away...Nicholas went to Florida with the Diehns and Tyler went to Great Wolf Lodge with the other 1/2 of Columbus who did not go to Florida for a few days:)
I got to stay home and CLEAN!!! I have been going through "stuff" all week and getting ready to have a Garage Sale. Fun Fun Fun..Tyler had a garbage bag of SHOES in his closet that do not fit..why we did not throw them away I have NO idea..
I did go tonight and get a WONDERFUL pedicure..ahhhh...Denise had given me a GC for my birthday and I was saving it up for flip flop weather. It was actually embarressing when she scrapped my heels.."Let it snow, Let it snow. Let it snow" is the first thing that comes to mind. (not good) THEN I went to Sams and bought ME this little outdoor table that I fell in love with last time we were there..I have a whole "wish list" of "stuff" I want from Sams when Hank gets a job or we win the lottery..You can have Disney World..I am going to Sams Club.
Sooooo here is a picture of what my new outdoor table looks like BUT I got it in a red color:) I just can not wait to fill her up...lol
(it does not take a whole lot to make me happy:)

How many kids does it take...

This has to be one of my FAVORITE post as today was kinda nice outside soooo I MADE my kids clean up ALL the dog poop from the backyard..Sooo how many kids does it take..well my 2, Tylers friend for moral support and Hank and I in the house saying "that's a lot of poop and laughing". Tyler at one point YELLED "how can 1 little dog poop this much"...lol

Lordy Lordy Suzanne is FINALLY 40!!

I have been friends with Suzanne since our boys were in preschool together (12 years ago, YIKES) and she is FINALLY turning 40 which is the number I became many many years ago. But, I have always said age is just a number but hate to point out to you Suzanne..40 is a pretty BIG number!!!

BTW..her Birthday is February 25th!!

Hair today Gone Tomorrow

Well today we clippered Nicholas hair and then he shaved everything off..Head, Legs,Arms, Back...
Tomorrow is Sectionals and we are ExCiTeD!! He is swimming in relays and in the 200 Free and the 500 Free. He is seeded 3rd in both so we will see..We are SO proud of ALL the boys and hate for the season to end.

Conference 2010

Nicholas swam in Conference this weekend and won in the 500 Free so WE got to go down and hand out the award for his event!!! YES, we were VERY proud parents and YES, I cried!!! I am so proud of Nicholas as I am off ALL the boys on the team. They are the best group of kids and have the BEST parents:) After the meet 14 of us went to a Hole in the Wall Bar for a few BEERS and BURGERS and had the best time..I can honestly say we were by far the loudest group there.
Tonight is the last night of NORMAL hair as tomorrow is the BIG BLEACH day for the boys and then next week they start coloring all the different colors (like BLUE, PINK, PURPLE and GREEN)..then they SHAVE it all off:) We have a fun few "colorful" weeks ahead:)

*I do not want anyone to think I am ignoring Tyler..he is still taking guitar lessons and is loving it:) He got a cell phone for Christmas and is making me NUTS with it..ALL he does is TEXT TEXT TEXT...I think he also might get the record for breaking his phone the fastest also..he did not even have it a month and one of his friends went to grab it from him as Tyler took a picture of this boy and his "friend" and broke the screen! We did get the insurance on it (thank gosh)!!!
Tyler is also still doing DI (Destination Imagination) and Math Bowl at school and is busy with both of these and can not wait for the start of Baseball. It will be here for we know it:) I am sooo ready for spring and summer!!!

Nicholas had a GREAT week this week..he has a really nice article in the paper about his swimming..He swam his 500 free in under 5 mins and tonight is Winter Formal..I will post pictures of that tomorrow:)
