Nicholas ~Winter Formal 2010~

Nicholas had a GREAT week this week..he has a really nice article in the paper about his swimming..He swam his 500 free in under 5 mins and tonight is Winter Formal..I will post pictures of that tomorrow:)
Soooo here is the picture that was in the paper and 2 from his 500 Free!!!

Christmas in Maryland

We went to Hanks brothers in Maryland for Christmas this year and had a GREAT time!! It was his parents 60th anniversary and it was the first time we had ALL been together for a long long time. We do not think Hanks neices had actually ever met Tyler as they were away at college the last few times we were together. SAD!!!
Hanks mom makes the most amazing food and the kids are learned how to make her FAMOUS Chinese Pancakes (pizzas) that we ALL love and they made Dumplings everyday while we were there also. We ate at The Cheesecake Factory which is always WONDERFUL and on Christmas day before all of our flights left we all went for Dim Sum which was wonderful. It was a great few days and I look forward to when we can all be together again.

I swear it was just 1999 and I was sitting on the couch holding Tyler as he had pneumonia and Hank took Nicholas to the BIG NYs party/parade downtown. Now it is 10 years later and Tyler does not want to even sit on the couch with me much less on my lap:) and Nicholas goes NO WHERE with us...lol
We had a really nice Christmas. We went to Maryland and saw Hanks family..I will do a post with pictures on that soon:) and then this weekend we went to my sisters for Christmas and met Lindsey boyfriend, Guy who she lives with in Atlanta. Guy brought a bottle of Moonshine with him!!!( I will also do another post on this sometime also but all I will say is my husband and Guy had a few shots of it)!!
I am hoping 2010 brings much happiness, health, wealth AND Babies to those blogs I read that are still waiting for their China daughters or sons. I hope 2010 brings Hank a job (within driving distance would be nice BUT we will take a JOB:)
My wish for my kids for 2010 is HAPPINESS..Live how your Grandparents did and always remember what they taught you and you will be HAPPY!!!
My goal for me is to have more patience with everyone, be nicer (Denise has the same one) lose weight and exercise (never ending story) and keep up with this blog better as we do like looking back at post!

Hank is STILL looking for a Job..enough said on that:(
Nicholas is swimming High School and was Swimmer of the week in our newpaper for 2 straight weeks:) He has started out really well and so wants to do well. He made a video and posted it on Facebook where he lip sinks to a song and ask a girl to the winter formal. Can I tell you how GREAT it was. If I can figure out how to post it here I will:) (without him knowing:)
Tyler is enjoying being back in guitar lessons and just so hoping Santa brings him a cell phone for Christmas:) He is 1/2 way through his last year in Elementary school..(yes, if you listen closely you can hear me crying..)
Me..well I am doing great!! I have to say being a Kindergarten TA is so much fun. I love the teacher I work for and love the Kindergarten team. We have a ton of fun and everyday at school is a laugh.
Maxie is still the lazest best dog ever.
I have the most amazing group of friends who are like family:)

Kindergarten is the BEST!!!

I know this picture is a few weeks LATE but better late then NEVER is my Motto..This year I am SO lucky to work with the BEST group of Kindergarten teachers and TA's. I really like all of them and am so lucky to work with all of them. We all got shirts that say "Kindergarten Rocks" as it does:)
For Halloween we were M&M's which was a ton of FUN!! Our school does a "Kindergarten Parade" with Music and all the classes sit in the hall as we "parade" around the halls in our costumes. The kids loved it but I have to say it was probaly one of Tylers most embarressing moments..All I can say is I can do a pretty good M&M dance down the 6th grade hall:) Why my son did not think I can dance I have NO idea...lol
*I am a TA for the Pink M&M and ALL I can say is she is WONDERFUL!!!

OMG..A NEW POST!!!

Yes..it has been a MONTH since I post but since I really do not think anyone, other then maybe Suzanne looking every once in a while reads it I guess it does not matter!!
Sooo...what has been going on in our lives the last month.
Hank: is STILL looking for a JOB!!! If anyone knows on anyone hiring he is looking!!!
He has his masters in Business and Engineering and speaks Chinese and English and makes a MEAN egg roll:)
Diana: just got done heading up the Fall Festival, Chili Dinner and Bake Sale at Tylers school..He is a 6th grader so this is my LAST year and it turned out WONDERFUL!! I am still working at that school as a Kindergarten TA and I love love love the teacher I work for as we laugh ALL the time. The kids are ADORABLE and are so FUNNY!!! I think I could write a book on the funny things I have heard so far this year:) Another GREAT perk is they LOVE YOU and think you are BEAUTIFUL:)
Nicholas: is still swimming and teaching pre team lessons..Got straight A's on his report card. Had a girlfriend and broke up with her because (his words) "sometimes having a girlfriend is a pain as they expect you to walk with them ALL the time in the halls". He has a ton of friends, boys and girls and truly LOVES his friends. The group of swim boys he is best friends with HUG all the time..they are friends for life and they think they are brothers (from different mothers..and fathers:)
Tyler: is in his last year at Richards and I am so sad about this. My baby is growing UP!!! He has defiantly come out of his shell and has quite the little social life going on..He likes GIRLS and GIRLS like him:) He is also picking a GREAT group of friends and also had ALL A's except that 1 little B+ on handwriting but as ALL kids say "that does not really count anyway"!! He is almost done with Football and is trying out for the school Basketball team. He so has my quick wit and thinks he should get the last word but I have had the last word for 48 years and am not giving it up:)
Maxie: is still the laziest best dog ever. She looks MUCH older then she is..I always say she has premature aging like ME:) as there is no way I should be this OLD!!! She loves us all and does not ask for much in return..she is just happy to sit and look at Hank as he is her favorite!! Dumb dog:)
Denise:is now on Medicine and now does not call me crying everyday..Can we say WOooooHOooooo!!!

3 Word Sunday

It has been a BUSY week and we are finally cooling down so today I got out my Halloween decorations..I am not sure when I ever got them out this early but since I was CLEANING today I decided I might as well pull it all out!! I made a Apple Crisp and 2 Apple Pies this weekend. I also went and bought CandyCorn and Peanuts to make my FAVORITE fall snack that I should have never made as I LOVE THEM!!!
Friday night we were are a friends in Cinti for our Couple night and Pam had the Hershey Kisses in the CandyCorn flavor..I thought they were the cutest things ever and they taste just like CandyCorn. I can not say they are my favorite as I am not a huge white chocolate lover but they are CUTE!!!

3 Word Sunday

Today (Sunday, Sept. 22) is 2 years since my mom passed away from Pancreatic Cancer and there is not a day that passes that I do not think of her or my dad. As much as I know that she and my dad are in a better place and she is not not suffering anymore I still want them both here!!! I miss them but I so miss them for my kids..they would be amazed at Nicholas but the change in Tyler in these 2 years has been AMAZING. My mom was a GREAT Mom but a even GREAT Grandma..her Grandkid meant the world to her and she was so happy when she was around them and they LOVED her...Mom we miss you and love you!!!



My parents would have been so PROUD for Tyler as he did make the All-Star team in football!!! This is the 1st year he has wanted to play and he has done GREAT and he was ask to try out from his Coach and he made it!!! WTG Tyler!!!
His team is the Red Skins and they ended there season with their 1st loss!!! The play off part starts next week! Today was the first time I really wanted to RUN out of the field as he tackled a kid and the kid went down on him and he had the Wind knocked out of him..when he stood up he was swaying back and forth and could not stand straight..His Coach was in front of him so he did not see till parents started YELLING you have a hurt player..the Coach turned around as the Asst. Coach got him down on the ground for a bit and he sat out of the game for a play and was right back in. WTG Ty!!!

3 Word Sunday

Tyler's football team (Redskins) played the other undefeated team yesterday and his team WON!!! So this makes their season 6-0 with next Saturday as the last regular game before play-offs. He has NEVER wanted to play football before this year and he is LOVING it!!! He is actually really good and has tried out for the All Star team and will find out tomorrow if he made it or not!!! He made 5 tackles yesterday and had a GREAT game.


Nicholas' good friend, Will and his family are moving to Hershery PA. We will so miss Will and his older brother John and their family. Both boys swim and the team will not be the same. They are known as the "Lee Boys" and both amazing swimmers!! Will is on the right and John on the left with Nicholas in the middle. We stopped over today to say our Goodbyes:(

3 Word Sunday!!

Friday night was the BIG City Football game against the 2 High Schools. North was winning then it started to lightening and it was called till Saturday. Well East pulled off a win in the last MINUTE and beat the BullDogs:(
A friend sent me this picture of Nicholas at the game and I was so impressed he wore a tie, even if it was painted on, as he ALWAYS likes to look his BEST!!
North did beat East in Soccer in ALL the games yesterday!!

3 Word Sunday!!!

Today is Hanks Birthday and we took advange of the Cash for Clunkers. I had to drive the Van a few weeks ago and said the brakes did not work..well Hank drove it last week and realized that THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK!! Soo, we took it in and the caliber was broke and it need a new front brake system and a rear brake drum and 2 new tires. This would cost us atleast $1200.00 to fix and the Van is not worth that much!!! We decided to let it SIT till Hank got a job and just use the 1 car. Well, we thought the Cash for Clunkers went on for another month so we were HOPING Hank would hear about the job in Indy by then (either way would be nice). We went to pick it up for the repair place and the Honda dealer is on the other corner so we "stopped" to see what they had with good gas mileage..Well Guess What????
Hank got a NEW Car!!! A 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid. Great gas mileage and since it is Hanks Birthday and I bought him NOTHING we are saying this is his gift!!!! Happy Birthday Hank!!!
I LOVE how the put the CARS on the windows so no one trys to buy it..lol

3 Word Sunday

School started here this week (way to early if you ask me but no one did)!!! Nicholas is now in the 10th grade and Tyler is in 6th and in his last year of elementary school. Come May I will be CRYING if not way before then. I have been invloved at school for MANY years now and can not imagine not having one of mine there!! We have been doing the what grade you are in by holding up that many fingers since Nicholas started school and I said to Hank the night before..OMG..next year Nicholas is going to have to use a toe as he is out of fingers!!!

Happy 12th Birthday Tyler!!!

Today my BABY is 12. I can not believe he is 12 already. This year he CHANGED so much..he grew 5 inches and so came out of his SHELL!!! He is funny, has my smart mouth, and has become very social!!! He makes us laugh ALL the time and I am so happy to be his MOM!!!
