Feels like Summer

Hank finished the deck this week..he did most of it in Sept./Oct. and added to the length of it and added the top this week..Can I say how nice it is. It gives us more space for sitting and entertaining:) PLUS some shade!!!
We also got our new pool liner this week and I have to say I like it better then the other one which did not last at ALL!!! We only had it 3 years and it had ripped in numerous places and look like cr@p!!
My sister and Kaitlin came over yesterday for both of their Bdays and we floated and layed out and I am so SUNBURNT!!! I should know better!!! So today there will be no floating for me:(

Tyler's DI Group

Tylers DI (Destination Imagination) group went to State this weekend. They ended up getting 3rd which was GREAT!! Last year they ended up going to Globals and they had a GREAT time but honestly we were not sure this year if we were even going to send them as it would have been around $5500 to send just the team and 2 parents!!! There challange was called "A New Angle" and they built a structure (you can not see in pictures) that weighed 24 GRAMS and it ended up holding 102 pds!!! AMAZING to me:)
We had a fun day and we were all very proud of the kids.

Job Description

This is hysterical. If it had been presented this way,
I don't believe any of us would have done it!!!!

POSITION :
Mom, Mommy, Mama, Ma
Dad, Daddy, Dada, Pa, Pop

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Long term, team players needed, for challenging
permanent work in an
often chaotic environment.
Candidates must possess excellent communication
and organizational skills and be willing to work
variable hours, which will include

evenings and weekends
and frequent 24 hour shifts on call.
Some overnight travel required, including trips to
primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities!
Travel expenses not reimbursed.
Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
The rest of your life.
Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily,
until someone needs $5.
Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly.
Also, must possess the physical stamina of a
pack mule
and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat
in case, this time, the screams from
the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.
Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges,
such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets
and stuck zippers.
Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and
coordinate production of multiple homework projects.
Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings
for clients of all ages and mental outlooks.
Must be willing to be indispensable one minute,
an embarrassment the next.
Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a
half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices.

Must assume final, complete accountability for
the quality of the end product.
Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and
janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION :

None.
Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills,
so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

None required unfortunately.
On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION :

Get this! You pay them!
Offering frequent raises and bonuses.
A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because
of the assumption that college will help them
become financially independent.
When you die, you give them whatever is left.
The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that
you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS :

While no health or dental insurance, no pension,
no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and
no stock options are offered;
this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth, unconditional love,
and free hugs and kisses for life if you play your cards right.

Forward this on to all the PARENTS you know, in appreciation for everything they do or have done

on a daily basis,
letting them know they are appreciated
for the fabulous job they do...
or forward with love
to anyone thinking of applying for the job.

Happy Easter

Last night we were invited the our friends house for Easter. Diane is a AMAZING cook and hostess and she went ALL out. She had a Basket at everyone's chair filled with ALL homemade cookies, candies, and treats!!! We ate a HUGE dinner, laughed, ate more and laughed more (I was more then 1/2 sick). They fished, played pool, fozz ball, airhockey and we watched Marley and Me. When we left Dianes there was a HUGE ORANGE moon and I said look at the moon and Tyler said GRANDPA:) I agree Tyler, it was a sign from Grandpa!!!When we got home there was a Bunny sitting in the yard so I am pretty sure he was one of the Easter Bunny's friends:)
Today we went out for a great breakfast and Hank worked in the yard and is now watching the masters and the kids and I have cleaned their rooms and closet..OMG is all I can say on that one:) We are grilling steaks out for dinner. It has been a great weekend and a Happy Easter spent with GREAT friends:)
